Founded in 1953 by Graham Lund and Harvey Guttry, Lund & Guttry LLP holds the distinction of being the desert's first CPA firm. For more than half a century, Lund & Guttry has served the desert community − growing from an audit, accounting and tax service firm to include many additional specialties such as business and computer consulting, estate and trust planning and other comprehensive financial services.
Graham Lund first came to Palm Springs in 1939 on a six-week assignment to set up the books for The Racquet Club, a world famous tennis resort frequented by many of the era's biggest movie stars. He ended up staying for three years until he joined the army to serve in World War II.
After the war, he went to Los Angeles to start his own accounting practice, and The Racquet Club became his first client. From that association, he soon began providing accounting services to Thunderbird, Indian Wells and Eldorado Country Clubs as well as other Coachella Valley businesses. His association with Harvey Guttry began in the early 1950's, and they formed Lund & Guttry with offices in Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo and Palm Springs. Eventually the San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles offices were closed, leaving Lund & Guttry's Palm Springs office to focus almost exclusively on Coachella Valley area clients.

In the 1950's economists estimated that the Coachella Valley would never be home to more than about 85,000 people, but today the combined population of the desert's nine cities and adjacent unincorporated areas is approximately 350,000 and growing. Having been here continuously since the beginning of this growth period, Lund & Guttry has the experience and expertise to serve the needs of its clients.
